1978 TWIN REVERB & 1967 BANDMASTER HEAD

Hi Guys,
Here are three photos of my #1 gigging amp.  I get guitarists salivating over it at every show.  It’s a 1978 Twin Reverb that I had modded by Tim at Top Gear here in San Diego.  He’s a great Fender tech.  I had him do the following:

  • Two Footswitchable Channels –
Clean: Original Silverface (very pure clean with bright switch)
Distortion: Mild to pretty heavy, natural sounding distortion with pullout knob to channel switch with footswitch.  Very touch and guitar volume control sensitive.
  • Boost: Footswitch or old channel 2 bright switch to engage.  Old master volume to control amount of volume boost (Mild boost, which makes it very useable.).

Excellent effects loop with send and receive level knobs and a mini switch to engage or not.
Reverb and Trem work on both channels and are also footswitch operated.

135 watt RMS beast with a half power switch.  Still loud as hell….
2 new 12F150 speakers (one’s a 12F150B) built by Ted Weber.
I installed the new green pimple tolex, turquoise weave Fender grill cloth, chrome corners and tilt back legs – all courtesy of Mojotone.
The other amp is a 67 Bandmaster head which I built a 2X10 cabinet for out of 3/4 inch pine, finger jointed and covered with Mojotone’s buggy whip leather tolex and wheat grill cloth.
Speakers are one 10″ Weber Silver Bell Alnico and one Weber 10A150 alnico.  Unbelieveable combination of speakers.  All electronics are original except tubes.  All NOS.
Thank again for providing such GREAT products at a fair price.  No more shopping.  You can find cheaper but the quality suffers.  Your stuff is always pro grade!!
Thanks again.
